Consciousness, intelligence, AI? What does it all mean? Who says what, where did it originate, how can we relate and what we can do to make sure it does not destroy us

We talk about AI as it was meant to be, an extension of our minds, or to our minds, so that we could have a way to offload some of the tasks that keep us tied to the minutia, and help to raise people's consciousness to a higher level. This is the goal, how we are going to get there is questionable. Do people even want to evolve?
